We have a super opportunity to join a pension investment, actuarial and administration consultancy as their In-house Legal Counsel, for 2 to 2.5 days a week. The role is offered on a hybrid basis, with the office based in Farnborough, with plenty of flexibility around the core working hours agreed.
Currently providing services to trustees of DB and hybrid pension schemes, our client is also about to launch a raft of new services into market areas outside of pensions.
Experience in the pensions or financial industry is desirable but not essential, and the salary offered will be based on experience gained - the full-time equivalent is circa £40K to £60K min, and will be pro-rated according to hours agreed.
Duties and Responsibilities
This role is very much focused on corporate and commercial duties supporting the Operations Director in covering all aspects of legal work within the business, and may also involve advice and back up of the in-house pensions technical team.
You will be providing legal advice to the business and colleagues, therefore the ability to work with some independence and autonomy is essential.
With a strong pensions technical team, you may be required to act as a sounding board / legal back to any queries they may have.
Experience
- A minimum of 4-5 years PQE as an advisory focused Pensions Solicitor would be ideal, but is not essential
- Financial industry experience would be preferred
- Ideally some working knowledge of FCA regulation
Working Pattern
The role is mostly working from home with occasional office visits, likely once a week minimum.
